What's up this Week?

I know I'm jumping the gun for 99% of our visitors when I bring up shopping for this holiday season gift giving. All I'm trying to do is provide you with some other shopping options that you can keep in the back of your mind. Or even better yet, you can layaway your choices now and have them paid for my the time you need them.  You'll see it isn't always necessary to shop at a mall when you have us providing inexpensive and often times unusual items that are NEW, not used.

New Merchandise

Boy, have we got some neat things that would make great gifts for a loved one or someone in your office. You won't find these items at your local mall either, making them even more special. Here's a small sampling of what we currently have available.

Batik make-up bags

Teak wood chopsticks with linen sleeve

Linen sling purse, blue elephant  on one side

Another gift idea is any one or more of the items in our Spa Treatment line. These items are such an outstanding buy you could even include a couple for yourself. Trust me; once the shopping season really begins, you'll welcome a home spa treatment.

Dead Sea Mineral Mud Masque

Summer Citrus Olive Oil Soap

 Brown Sugar Body Exfoliant

I don't think you can ever go wrong giving a book as a gift, especially one on someone's favorite subject. For example if someone  loves to cook what better gift can you give than a cookbook?  We just happen to have a ton of cookbooks to whet anyone's appetite and most of them are considered vintage or antique. I think any cook would find that intriguing; if not utterly delicious.

Under our Spot Light

Under our Spot Light is a new section where I introduce someone special. This week it is my honor and privilege to introduce you to Prissie's Collectibles. If you're interested in Coca Cola collectibles, Prissie's is the place to shop! As the name suggests, Prissie's is also filled with vintage and collectible  items from the past and present and not just limited to Coca Cola. You might even find a  Garfield's Ghost Stories, Halloween, Children's book, from 1992 among the pages of antiques, vintage and collectibles. So, Why not stop by her site and have some fun browsing her collectible items!

Remembering September 11th

I received an email with the following information and was asked to forward it to as many people as I know, but to at least eleven people so the word could get out. I decided that between my newsletter, blog and Facebook, I think I can get the word out.

For those who still believe the United States Is the greatest place in the world:

On Friday, September 11th, 2009, an American flag should be displayed outside every home, apartment, office, and store in the United States. Every individual should make it their duty to display an American flag on this eighth anniversary of one of our country's worst tragedies. We do this to honor those who lost their lives on 9/11, their families, friends and loved ones who continue to endure the pain, and those who today are fighting at home and abroad to preserve our cherished freedoms.

In the days, weeks and months following 9/11, our country was bathed in American flags as citizens mourned the incredible losses and stood shoulder-to-shoulder against terrorism. Sadly, those flags have all but disappeared. Our patriotism pulled us through some tough times and it shouldn't take another attack to galvanize us in solidarity. Our American flag is the fabric of our country and together we can prevail over terrorism of all kinds.

Thank you for your participation. God Bless You and God Bless America!

And with that, I will close this week's newsletter. Again, please have a happy and safe Labor Day. Oh and check out the items below before you go. Thank you!

Customer Request

We have a customer looking for the following item: "Hello I am looking for Cracker Barrel Old country store Paden City Artworks jugs. They have the store name on. It can be salt and pepper shaker or other knick knack. Thank you"

If you have one you're willing to sell or know where she could find one, please email us with the information.

Shipping

I almost forgot to mention again about our reduced shipping prices! So here's the deal; due to the state of the economy we have reduced our shipping charges to $4.95 on every package to everywhere in the Continental United States of America. We're doing our best to help out our fellow man/woman and child where ever possible.

Also we welcome all of our new subscribers.

Remember, if you have a story, are looking for something, or anything you would like to share, please send it to sharon@gone-tomorrow.com and we'll include it in our newsletter.
