What's New?

Well, we have a couple of details to share with you this week: For one we are proud to announce our new relationship with Amazon.com, a Fortune 500 company based in Seattle, Washington, and who is the global leader in e-commerce. What we have is our own little Amazon store with a couple of pages of merchandise for sale. Over the next few weeks we'll be adding more of a variety, but right now we're showcasing only a few items in Tools, Electronics and Games.  You'll find the link to our Amazon page in our upper navigation.

The other new service we're offering is a Layaway plan. Now you can 'shop till you drop' and then just opt for one of the layaway plans we're offering. It couldn't be any simpler!

Spring is here!

I love Spring almost as much as I love summer. Especially after hibernating all winter it just feels so good to feel the warmth of the sun, to hear the wind chimes chiming and the birds singing while they build their nests in our rafters. Truthfully, the birds singing is okay, but not the nests so much.

Springtime makes me want to start some deep cleaning and to try to make all the rooms have a light and airy look versus the dark and dreary, but I guess homey look of winter. To that end, I did a search and found the following article on frugal ways to decorate for Spring. Enjoy!

Bring Spring In!
by Kathleen Wilson

Here are some great ideas for bringing the freshness of spring into your home.
Sponge paint your walls, or a key piece of furniture. Blues, greens, pinks, and yellows in pastel shades refresh a room, and the softness of sponging gives an "impressionistic" appeal.
Take clippings from outdoor ivy and root in water for free houseplants. Buy inexpensive shade annuals and pot them up for indoors. Fuchsias, impatiens, begonias, and primroses are wonderful for bringing in color, and deal well with the lower light indoors. (Read the entire article)
