Volume I - Issue IIIn my haste to send our first newsletter out last week I forgot to include a link to our site. What was really bad about making an error like that is the main reason I sent the newsletter was to introduce or in some cases, reintroduce you to our redesigned site. Best laid plans! Here is our link in case I forget again: www.gone-tomorrow.com What's New?Last year we began accepting merchandise on consignment and now have a fairly rounded collection items in several categories, such as: Collector plates, Home Decor, Antiques, Clothing-Children, Women's and then the newest consigned items are: Outdoor Decor! We are showcasing the cutest items of Garden Decor for this year's Spring season. Everything showcased is brand new and as cute as the hanging birdhouse shown. You'll find bird feeders, birdhouses, Hummingbird feeders, wall plaques and wind chimes. Visit our Outdoor Decor page and see for yourself.
Next in our consignment line-up is: Dance Wear-Children and Pre-Adult: These outfits can be worn for dance, gymnastic or ice skating and as previously mentioned we have children's sizes, as well as pre-adult sizes. Each outfit is good quality and in excellent condition.
And finally, we have Prom/Party Dresses that have been worn once and are like brand new. Before I decided to showcase the dresses, I searched prom dresses to see what the styles and colors are for 2009 and I think in the short dress category, the dresses we have would fit right in with color and style. I also think you could go spend the $225 prom dresses going for or you can save 80% and check out the dresses we have in stock. What Else is New?Here's some news! We finally got-with-the-program and joined Facebook this year. Once in a Blue Moon Online Thrift Store has its own group too and of course I have my own page. If you are already a member, why not ask me to be your friend? Or if you're not a member, follow this link and see if it's something that would interest you. Sharon Todd's Profile | Create Your Badge Be on the Alert:Have any of you fallen for the AcaiBerry scam like I did? In case you have not yet fallen victim, DON'T DO IT. The way they get you is this: They offer a free trial of the product for just the shipping fee of $5.95. I think the trial period is for 2 weeks, but what I didn't notice in the fine print is the wording that they'll charge my credit card beginning after the two week trial for supposedly $29.95 per month. Even if I had read the fine print it was all lies, because two weeks later I was charged, $63.00 not $29.95. When the charge came through I immediately contacted the company and canceled all future orders, including whatever the $63 was to pay for and then demanded a refund of the $63. Armed with my cancellation number, I called my bank and asked that the charge be removed from my card, which they did and they also told me there had been numerous 'like' complaints from other customers. In the end, I felt pretty good about how it all went, especially with the bank being nice and also the fact that I was actually able to get through to the company to cancel the order.... until the following month. Another charge from the company came through, only this one was for $85. This time, fire was coming out of every orifice and when I called the company niceties gave way to threats and snarls. Needless to say the representative refunded the $85 immediately and so far this month there's been no new charge. The real insult to this whole scam is that I learned later that the AcaiBerry can be purchased for under $10.00 a bottle. The irony though is that I haven't taken any of the pills yet. Just do not become a victim to any of these companies that are sprouting up now with the down economy. They all have something to sell for "just the cost of shipping" and if you can even find the small print, which you probably can't, the monthly charge will actually be more like an electric bill. I hope you enjoyed this issue of our newsletter. Once again, here is the link to our web site: www.gone-tomorrow.com. Each of the links found in the above narrative will also work!
