Layaway:

Our layaway plan covers all Once in a Blue Moon Online Thrift Store merchandise with the exception of  all Amazon.com merchandise.

How to place a Layaway order:  You can accumulate your order in the shopping cart and then copy the items from the cart into the form below. We copied the entire cart including the headings and this technique worked fine. (If you were to complete the order through the shopping cart it would require your payment in full.)

Your Layaway Order:  When we receive your order we will send an acknowledgement email to you, which will include  your customer number, which is needed to accurately apply your payments. In the meantime, if you would like to complete setting up your layaway without waiting to hear from us first, you can choose one of the payment plans below and remit your payment through PayPal to: sharddot@aol.com. Our acknowledgement email will still follow and will include your customer number.

Payment plans

  • Plan 1: 2-payment plan. 1/2 due at time of order and the balance is due in 30 days.
  • Plan 2: 3-payment plan. 1/3 due at time of order, 1/3 due in 30 days and the balance is due within 60 days.
  • Plan 3: 4-payment plan. 1/4 due at time of order, 1/4 due with 30 days, 1/4 due within 60 and the balance is due within 90 days.
  • Plan 4: This is your plan. Our goal is offer up our small way of helping this country get back to some form of normalcy. We know how good it feels when you have no money to still be able to buy something - we've all been there. So under Plan 4, you tell us what you can afford to pay. We will still require an initial payment to guarantee you really want the merchandise and will continue to pay until paid in full. (We've had many and many a customer tell us they want something only to never hear from them again.)

When calculating your total layaway balance, please use the table below to add in shipping charges.

Notice: Postal rates are going up again on January 4, 2010.  Since we're located in CA, the biggest increase is in the rates to the Midwest and East Coast.  Shipments under one pound will increase from $4.95 to $5.55 or 12%.  The more pounds shipped, the higher the increase. We will do our best to keep our rates the same for as long as we can.

You will receive an invoice for each installment payment due. You will also receive a confirmation email when we receive an installment payment, which will reflect your new balance. On your final payment, you'll receive an email from us with information on your order shipment.

Layaway Terms and Conditions:  During your layaway term your items will remain on the site with a graphic stating the item is on layaway. Should you cancel your order for any reason you will be charged 25% for administration fees of your total order and the balance will be refunded in 'store' credit. If your payment is two weeks late your order will automatically cancel. A 'store' credit will be issued for any payments you made, less the 25% administration fees charge.

1. What is a layaway? A: A layaway is a purchase plan designed for customers who want to buy merchandise and pay in full through installments before receiving the merchandise.

2. When will my merchandise be shipped? A: Once your final payment is made your order will ship within 2 business days.

3. What are my payment options? A: We prefer PayPal since they take all major credit cards and checks, but will also accept checks and money orders.

4. I would like to mail my payments, instead of using PayPal. A: Yes, send your payments to: Sharon Todd, 19554 Green Mountain Drive, Newhall, CA 91321. Please allow plenty of time for your payment to arrive so as not to be 14 days late. Best advise is to communicate with us.
